Mitsu is the archetype of toxic ex who stalks you and attempts to ruin your life once you've broken it off with him. He has a long, long line of exes who warn people of him and who thought they could "help" or "fix" him.
Mitsu cannot physically fight nor does he have the dexterity or patience to learn of the crafting professions. He further hates dirty or physical labor, which excludes the DoL jobs.
XIV CANON
Prior to EW, Mitsu's sole profession was at a "tea house" in Kugane which acted very similarly to the seedier host / hostess clubs. For a price, you could rent a Mitsu's attentions or for a larger sum, a room to occupy with him that was not supervised. The claim was that visitors would get to sample exotic and rare teas, hand prepared by staff for your enjoyment -- but everyone knew what you were really doing. Mitsu's customers would most frequently wake up after two to three cups of tea to a headache while Mitsu would be pulling his clothes back on, praising them that they were just wonderful, a most generous lover. The patron would then be quickly ushered out of the tea house and wouldn't notice until much later that their purse was significantly lighter and their bill much larger than it should have been.
Upon meeting Shy in Endwalker, Mitsu becomes the voidsent preferred "vessel" when fighting, making Mitsu a somewhat bastardized version of a "reaper". Mitsu is not concious or aware of when he's being posessed, but Shy is careful not to fight in ways that would harm the viera. In instances where Shy does need to push the limits, he will simply grab a corpse and wear it down to a pulp through use.

In more modern settings, Mitsu would frequently pursue WFH jobs that require the bare minimum of him. Things such as OnlyFans, camera models or "just talking" Twitch streamer under the pseudonym of "83tu" (pronounced: hachi-mi-tsu, aka "honey"). In rare or drastic instances, he might be a "barista" employed alongside Wren at a small coffee shop, but generally he should be kept away from jobs involving food, as he will spit in it if a customer irritates him (a very easy thing to do.)

- shy is lactose intolerant but also freqeuntly refuses to actually drink dairy subsitutes instead, especiall if they are listed as something like "oat milk" because as he said, "it is not physically possible to milk an oat".
- morally opposed to charity, believes if you give people help or handouts, they will never learn to fend for themself.
- in xiv canon, shy is a voidsent who is inhabiting the skin of a viera he found. in aus in which he is a form of demon or eldritch being, his looks and shape are based on the tastes he's scraped from mitsu's brain.
- shy has abnormally long and oddly shaped ears as a viera. shy does not have eyeshines.
