History: Her mother died when she was just 3 years old, and Zipp was only 1, but their father fell into a horrid depressive spell, so Zapphire was forced to grow up quickly in order to survive. Once placed in her flight, she met Aibhéis and instantly felt smitten by him. He liked her as a friend and the two became inseparable. When they graduated and went into the Army, Aibhéis became a healer, thanks to his mother’s ‘healing waters’ skill (plus he didn’t want to fight unless pushed). Zapphire wanted to protect him, so she became his guard.
