"Fafnir? There's not much to say about him. He's the third in his line, preceded by Falkor and Ingulfrid respectively. He has been the Dragon of Ice for almost five centuries now. The last I checked on him was about 60 years ago. It went about the same as my visits to him usually go—plenty of territorial screeching and bellows to leave at once. I imagine the lack of any nurture in his formative years has degraded his mind to the point of becoming a creature of primal instincts and desires. The most reasonable he has ever been was during my first couple of visits when he was still but a hatchling. As his aggression and general incoherency grew with each passing year, the idea of visiting him to check in became less and less appealing. However, these checks are much too dangerous to relegate to one of my assistants so I am forced to make the journey myself. These days, I only swing by to check whether or not he's alive every seventy years or so."
"THE DRAGON WHO SEEKS KNOWLEDGE. HE IS NOT WELCOME HERE."
"The current High Witch of Mind, yes, I'm fairly well acquainted with her. Did you know that her family line has actually held the position of High Witch of Mind for over five centuries now? If I'm being honest, I would have expected the high amount of natural magic within the family line to have dwindled several generations back, but I suspect the Reyes family have been turning to alternative means to keep the family blood strong with potent magic."
"Mr. Caldarelli serves as the Conlegium di Magia Raffiata's Head Librarian. He has been our Head Librarian for about a decade now. He and I occasionally discuss matters of literature and curriculum that may benefit our students to have access to. Although he may come off as aloof and reserved, you'll find he actually has quite a lot to say if you can get him to start talking on a subject that interests him."
"Nico, as he goes by these days, is one of my oldest assistants. Among the first of my assistants, he's always been quite the character. A highly intelligent and cunning man, Nico can be a force to be reckoned with. Well, for most people. Despite his eccentricities—like his idea of a good joke being to take my public last name and present himself to people as my son—he's proven himself time and time again to be one of my most reliable assistants. Do not ask me about what I think of what he does in his free time or his personal mission. What he does outside of the work I assign him is not my concern."
"Big Boss Man Vasco? I've been following him for who-knows-how-many centuries now. I would say he's like a father to me, but that'd be a rather pretentious claim to make, even for someone like me. However, it doesn't make it any less funny to take God's last name and tell people he's my dad. Jokes aside though, I would follow Vasco to the ends of Mulvao and then some. As the Dragon of Mind, Scholar Vasco truly lives up to the title. Knower of All, he views himself not as a leader to one day rule Mulvao, but as its historian, its observer, its archivist. To be trusted and tasked by such a powerful and aware god that understands the value of preservation means everything."
"Salvatore, as he goes by these days, is one of my newer assistants. He's one of the few of my assistants to be born a kitsune rather than become one. Although it shows in his lack of experience with the world and the people in it, he's a quick learner and eager to please. With his level of devotion and attention to detail, I can see him climbing the ranks of my assistants fairly quickly within the next couple of centuries."
"Scholar Vasco is everything one may expect him to be, and somehow, more than that. Knower of All, he is the epitome of what a seeker of knowledge should be. A paragon to all who wish to learn, following and serving him has given my life the purpose I had so desperately craved to find in my youth."
"One of the few dragons I can say I'm on proper speaking terms with, Cymothoe is a delight to be around. She's quiet, kindhearted, and loving in nature. She also takes to learning quite well and always seems to be interested in whatever news and information I bring to her whenever we have our annual check-ins. Speaking of which, I do find a bit of humor in the fact that despite being the one to teach her new things, she's technically older than me. In a physical sense, anyways."
"Vasco is a dear friend of mine. When he comes to visit, he always brings tales of adventures filled with sights I've yet to see and people I've yet to meet. It fills me with a sense of longing, but this land needs me. Pandorea before gave her life to protect this land, so I shall see to it that her legacy continues to live through me. I do wish Vasco would visit more often, but I understand he is a busy man."
