Darkwave is a young warrior cat with a complex personality. She herself doesn't understand why she's the way she is, but she accepts it. At first glance, Darkwave might appear withdrawn, impulsive, and not very sociable. However, this is the version she shows to strangers. With those close to her, she talks a lot and enjoys doing so. Nevertheless, she often experiences bouts of aggression, making her seem somewhat unapproachable. But with friends, she becomes an entirely different person, allowing herself to joke and express her emotions, which she refrains from doing around strangers. She doesn't have many close friends; earning her full trust is challenging. She meticulously observes how people behave before deciding to engage in a relationship. She is a keen observer and listener, which might be surprising to others when they realize how much Darkwave knows about them. She enjoys listening to what others have to say, so she even eavesdrops on conversations that don't concern her. This also helps her understand the behaviors of other cats, which greatly interests her.

Her ability to listen is coupled with great sensitivity and empathy, which she tries to conceal under a mask of indifference. She analyzes every move, every word she hears, fearing they might be negative comments about her. One could say she's obsessed with this. Darkwave tries to please everyone, causing her to forget who she truly is. She forgets what she said to whom, what version of herself she presented, although she desperately tries to avoid such slip-ups at all costs. She feels she must be perfect in every way. Consequently, her self-esteem is low, affecting her relationships with others. She dislikes speaking up in front of strangers because of the fear of making a mistake. She strives to be the best version of herself and help everyone as much as she can. Unfortunately, she is hindered by her lack of motivation or, rather, her laziness. Darkwave experiences sudden bursts of energy to work, setting lofty goals she never achieves due to an immediate energy drop afterward. On such days, she would prefer to lie in her den all day, in the shade, invisible to others. She feels like a burden to the clan even though she doesn't do anything wrong—she even fulfills her duties despite her strong reluctance.

She doesn't like being the center of attention, and public appearances stress her out greatly. She always thinks several times before saying something and spends days preparing for speeches. However, when she manages to overcome her fear, she can eloquently express her thoughts on various topics.

Darkwave is also a fairly good leader. If she works in a team without an apparent leader, she takes the initiative. She immediately assigns tasks, considering everyone's capabilities. Usually, she takes on the majority of the work, not wanting to exhaust others (she also believes she knows best what needs to be done, so explaining it to someone else just to do it the other way around seems pointless to her).
