With the many people that attend Roswell High, everyone thinks the same thing when they meet the brightly clothed teenager. 'Weird'. Atlas can always be heard discussing his two passions in life, Aliens and Space. He is obsessed with both ever since he was a young child. Being the son of a famous 'Alien Hunter' doesn't help his case much. Atlas is seen as an outcast due to his weird hobbies. But isn't depressed by this. Instead he is postive and as some woud say, has an innocent yet odd charm. He constantly says things that can be taken out of context without actually meaning too. Atlas has an innocence about him that people tend to question if the boy has ever done anything (romantic wise) before.

The Sykes have been apart of the Roswell community for generations. Most of the people who reside within that town know of them. They are more widely known for their love of aliens and conspiracies. Especially as of late. The Sykes names have become more common since Atlantis Sykes struck alien gold with a recording of 'real' aliens.
Atlas Oberon Sykes is the youngest out of the Sykes pair. His name orignally came from his older brother Alta since the bright parent's had no idea what to call him. Since he could walk, Atlas has been fasinated with the aspect of space. He would spend hours at night just staring upwards whilst his older brother told him bits and pieces about space and what possibly could be out there. His father also encouraged him to research aliens as this was a family trade as they say. After his first 'research' session that consisted of his father and older brother, Atlas had found another passion in life. Since that day Atlas dedicated every second researching what he could about aliens and space.
Not much change when the youngest Sykes entered high school. Still completely obsessed with aliens the young boy made it heard to the school populace about what is really out there and how they could prevent abductions. This did not earn him any friends and as such he was out casted from most of his year. People would tease him about his passion but he wouldn't let them bring him down. He continued day after day. His positive out look to life kept him going. Atlas really didn't care about making friends and such as he was already, in his head, happy with how his life was. That was until he interacted with an alien at school...
