Candlewax

Dragged from the inky-black waters of the perimeter, Candlewax was jolted into the Ring aggressively and without any breath and his experience of the place hasn't changed since. He's a complete amnesiac and would really like to know whats going on and this weird skeleton guy Royale is hard to get information out of. His first shock is that he is himself turning into a "weird skeleton guy" and that he is, in fact, dead, in his afterlife, reconstructed as a reaper.

The fast-paced and extremely dangerous nature of his new existence keeps Candlewax and Royale on their toes and Wax does not manage to get much downtime to ask Royale questions. Its kind of a learn-as-you-go situation as Candlewax slowly morphs further into a proper reaper. The two hunt down stray souls and "angel feathers" (corrupt divine energy) to keep the Ring clear of invaders and monsters like other reapers, though they operate mostly on their lonesome. 

The pair encounters and is forced take out an Angel Feather far earlier than Candlewax is ready. Consuming its energy afterwards severely accelerates Candlewax's transformation into a reaper and influences his looks; giving him little wings and sparkling eyes.

Candlewax is shaky and frightened and it's all he can do to follow after Royale for a while. Despite this, though, he is fiercely opinionated and ready to stand up for himself once he gets his feet under him.
