Yamato Itsuki (HP!AU Itsuki)

Background:

The Yamatos are a wizarding family from Japan with a long and proud lineage of purebloods. Itsuki was born to his pure blooded mother's affair with a squib, embarrassing his grandfather and ensuring the two would be close under his watch in the coming years.

Itsuki was always close with his mother, adopting her view that his gramps was a stick in the mud as well as her rebellious tendencies. His sights set on grandeur, Itsuki dreamed of going to Hogwarts when he turned 11. Unfortunately for him, his trouble-making nature and a morbid curiosity for lifestyles outside of the pure blooded greatly displeased his grandfather. He used his influence to have Itsuki shipped off the Durmstrang, his alma mater, to stew him in a pure blooded environment and perhaps have some discipline drilled into his thick head.

As he grew up, Itsuki continued to admire Hogwarts, but the elitism of Durmstrang does wonders to inflate his ego. He develops a strong affinity for Defense Against the Dark Arts and martial magic and lept at the opportunity to participate in the International Wizard Cup to show off his stuff.

• Yamato Kodai, Itsuki’s maternal grandfather, works for the Japanese Ministry of Magic with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
• Itsuki’s mother, Yamato Yoko runs a potion shop when she’s not off on a broomstick with her witches.
• Itsuki has had a fondness for magical creatures since he was very young. 
• His familiar is a black cat named Jinx!
