His name is a portmanteau of 'marrang' meaning 'sand & beach' and 'giba' meaning 'stone' in the Aboriginal-Australian language.
I chose this name since his stone (Brown Quartzite Pebbles) are commonly found on beaches, and I've always wanted to use the Aboriginal-Australian language for a character name.
