03. Fig

Fig is a small, vulnerable hybrid that lives and travels through dense natural forests, fields and other places surrounded by nature. He has an overwhelmingly strong sense of smell similar to that of a bloodhound, which he uses to locate favourite foods while foraging such as truffles, sweet flowers, herbs and funguses. If Fig comes across a plant difficult to eat or is tough, he can create a thick slime from his mouth to lubricate and soften the food product! This saliva also has healing properties that can heal small wounds faster. Some of his favourite foods are clover and sweet flowers! If Fig is full he will store edible plants in his shell to eat later.

Fig is very vulnerable due to his small size and lack of weapons. In order to make up for this he has a small set of sabre fangs, but these unfortunately don't do him much good and he often just uses them as an aid to dig at the dirt while foraging. In relation to this Fig is very fast and has excellent hearing to aid him from avoiding predators, he will also dig large dens and burrows to protect himself and sleep in. This is especially essential during the winter, which he will hibernate through most of. He much despises frost, snow and cold weather! His small body doesn't cope well with freezing temperatures at all.

Loves both sunshine and rain! Fig's coat has some water resistant properties helping him to say warm and dry during heavy rain storms. He is absolutely obsessed with the smell of foliage and dirt after bouts of rain.

Fig travels long distances, but he avoids civilisation only ever travelling through natural places or fields. He is exceptionally kind to travellers who pass him, he is just completely harmless!
