Malachite (deceased)

Malachite was the first herbalist to join Willowpea down. One of the founding members of the pack, he has gained a lot of respect among the other elders and youth of the pack. He was driven to learn about herbology when he lost his eye to a sever infection as a puppy.

He helped in training River during his time as herbalist, letting him take his place when he was 5 and a half. He made it to level 9 during his time as herbalist, learning all the medicines he could make and always being sure to have ample supply of everything. He taught generosity to the other wolves, encouraging them to share any treatments, and making them specifically for outsiders during the rare times they didn't already have stock. River has carried on this level of generosity, uniting their pack with a medically inclined group of deer.

Malachite Spends his old age relaxing, watching pups and telling stories. He is active, and not to the point of laying around all day like some of the older wolves. He still attentive and has frequent talks with Joanna about the pack and its future. The two of them older and wanting to ensure the future of it goes on strong. Him and Birch are good buddies, and the quiet wolf dog visits with him daily to talk about Birdsburrow's progress as the heir for the clan. Occasionally, he offers support and advice to his former student, River. He is beyond proud of how far she has come.

He does a lot of talking with the deer who've made an alliance, advocating for them to the rest of the pack to help River and bring Joanna around to accepting the deal. Malachite isn't able to walk very far as often as he'd like, but he still makes a point to attend every meeting between the two opposing species and ensure they work together to manage the strange occurrences that've been plaguing the land.
