Profile

The God of the Unseen is the great mind behind the constructs found in the Great Red Sand. She is the architect of the Mausoleum of King Deshret, Khaj-Nisut, the invisible constructs and other such temples that have been lost to time. Said to be a faceless god, Ashraqat; also known as Heka by the ancient peoples and Andrealphus by the gods, always kept her face concealed when dealing with humans. She believed that humans and gods sharing knowledge with each other will bring about destruction, and she only imparts her wisdom to her selected followers. Her worshippers are known to wear dark masks with Udjat in order to earn her favor.

She, in her own right, is a god of secrets and knowledge. She can make things seen and unseen, and even the greatest constructs like the Mausoleum of King Deshret, she could turn into nothingness. Her own temple, The Unseen Palace, is only accessible to her priests and worshippers. Those who dare try to force their way in will only meet their demise, never to be seen again. She detests those who would pillage for their own gain, especially upon a people who want to live in silence and peace. She is protective of her people and her worshippers, and is known to have an oasis for them to stay in her temple. Within her temple is The Oasis of Reeds, where she personally resides and imparts wisdom to her followers.

In her boredom, she takes the behaviors of tricksters and plays mind games while remaining faceless. Unknown to her, this became a legend about her dissatisfaction with the people. Ashraqat is heavily misconstrued to have ill intent towards humans, as she always keeps her face concealed from them, plays tricks on them, and is said to have even given them nightmares of death. She does not do this knowingly, as she sees them as harmless ghost jokes. Even when she is trying to dissuade a scholar with her power, she will not lay a finger on them unless she has to.

Her belief in humans and gods having to restrain from sharing wisdom has been a constant fear of hers. She deeply cares about humanity and does not wish for them to be destroyed because they wanted to reach their own form of enlightenment. She keeps things unseen and unheard for their safety, as the Khaenriah Cataclysm has deeply traumatized her and caused her to fear for the surviving members of humanity. She has difficulty trusting her wisdom beyond the descendants of the priests, as she will never know if knowledge will fall into the wrong hands.

No regular human, in her opinion, will be able to earn the treasures hidden within her constructs. After all, she does reserve them for the priests or their descendants. She is well aware the people have retreated to Aaru Village, but got shocked to know that some priests have descendants that survived. Medjay and Nahyan are examples of such descendants. However, it's unknown if Masir's lineage stemmed from ancient priests because he is able to figure out her constructs. Or maybe it's just his magic.

What is she doing past the Wall of Samiel? She heard news about Nahida's power being unleashed finally and people are having dreams again! She's there to celebrate! However, this has caused concern among the people of Sumeru as a supposedly deceased god has returned from the Desert. Her presence in the City brought about an unease fueled by prejudice.

Nahyan Faouzi al-Alsaqr, a former Mahamatra, sought out her guidance in creating an advanced, more fortified development for Aaru Village. She has also been made known of the plans to expand the Village to be able to house more people.
