Bio

Yuma is a very energetic girl, she has so much energy that she even talks too much and doesn't listen to everyone pretty much due to her talking habit. She even didn't listen to her school teacher's orders and tests because of this (causing her to be scolded and forced to clean the statue of the school garden, like what Laala did when she got the 100th warning ticket). She gets excited too easily. Yuma is mostly lazy outside PriPara, although she does have some hint of energy there.

Yuma's "Absolutely Number One Super Idol" is Sion Todo of Dressing Pafé. It might be the reason why Yuma liked cool coords despite being a Pop-type idol and even occasionally wears Cool-type coords from Baby Monster. To a lesser extent, she is also a fan of Aroma Kurosu and Hibiki Shikyoin. There are rumors that Sion is the reason why Yuma gets too excited and when she is about to go somewhere, she always mentions how Sion might be in here.

Yuma found Aste, who was called Mero at the time, when she was a Grade 2 student. She found Mero while she was going home from school. Yuma quickly became friends with her due to Mero's kindness, friendliness, and "easy to talk to-ness". Growing up, Yuma and Mero became close, and even doesn't mind Mero's name change to Aste. Yuma and Aste care about each other although Yuma sometimes scolds her for not doing what Yuma says to her although Aste does have a good reason why she doesn't. Nevertheless, they are good friends and partners.

Although Yuma has similar amount of motivation and energy with Ajimi Kiki, Yuma doesn't have as much energy as Ajimi's, as outside of school and PriPara, she is lazy but still has a hint of energy.

As "ゆま" is written in Hiragana, there are several meanings in kanji, which I am too lazy to list (I'm sorry, promise 🙏)

"敏江" (Toshie) consists of 敏 ("toshi", meaning "agile", "quick" or "alert"), and 江 ("e", meaning "bay" or any generic term for large bodies of water).

Trivia
  • The original design is made in Charat.
  • She has a pet tarantula named "Tsukumo-tan".
  • Despite being a Pop-type idol, Yuma is obsessed with stuff that is considered "cool", listens to "cool" songs, and even occasionally wears coords from Baby Monster, which is a Cool-type brand. This irony is caused from the fact that Meganee find Yuma fitting for pop-looking coords, although she told Meganee that Yuma prefers "cool" coords, but didn't listen because Meganee picked up her phone and called someone while Yuma is telling her to change her idol type. However, she later gets used to wearing the pop-style coords.
  • She is named after and is based on Yuma Tsukumo from Yu-Gi-Oh ZEXAL. Yuma (PriPara OC)'s pet, Tsukumo-tan, is also based on the YGO character's last/family name.
    • Yuma's partner, Aste, is also based on Astral from that same series. They are ghost-like characters who are a partner to another character.
