Elo

A lone travelling knight who does mercenary work for living. Elo has a strong moral compass and she won't kill unless it's absolutely necessary.  She travels with a female harris' hawk called Aarni, it's Elo's closest ally as Elo can communicate with animals. Elo takes jobs from anyone she sees deserving and offers her services for cheap to those who can't afford to pay as high sums as nobles. She wants to protect others and thinks it is her purpose in life. 

Elo's family has been serving Eridanus-family for generations. Elo was appointed as the bodyguard of one of the daughters who was the same age as her. The two were close friends but Elo's feelings towards her grew. Unfortunately one day her love suddenly started to treat her coldly and she was dismissed as her bodyguard. Heartbroken, Elo left to travel on her own - switching to use a new nickname instead of her birthname Ashriel.

Communication with animals: Elo is capable of talking with animals and her presence calms them. She understands them, and they understand her as well. Elo can also understand magical creatures.

Swordsmanship: Elo is a trained fighter and an excellent fighter. She prefers to use a shield and a one-handed sword but knows how to fight without a shield as well or with a two-handed sword.

Survival: Elo knows how to hunt with a crossbow, and how to survive and navigate in nature. She knows how to use the sun or the stars for direction, and what plants and such are safe to eat.
