Freakshake contracted vampirism as a teenager just before going to college. He struggled with it for a good long while before somewhat getting it under control; it made his hard schooling even harder. He became fast friends with Blood Mewl, a vampire from birth, while in school and they eventually both became doctors despite Mewl not having the required schooling for it.
Freakshake managed to put himself through medical school and takes his job as a doctor very seriously. He is head doctor at Sepultus Est Hospital, and hired Blood Mewl, his best friend, to work with him. Off the job he is a very different creature altogether, but on the job he is strict and does everything he can to help people. Every now and then he has lapses and ends up siphoning blood off his patients... or worse. Sometimes it cannot be helped and he loses to his affliction, ripping into someone, uncaring for their organs and body in general.

Freakshake, after being turned, decided to begin experimenting on himself. At first it was just little things, then as time went on and he got his medical degree, they got more and more wild. His end goal is to be the post efficient vampire possible. His mouth is now a leech which can be stuck out like a tongue (though much farther); it emcompasses his entire mouth otherwise. He speaks very quietly because of this and only seems to get loud when Blood Mewl is around. His claws and tail store blood for him so he can calm himself while he works, or transport it easier if he's out and about. Nobody has ever seen under his eyepatch, he is very defensive of it. He wears his monocle a lot to stabilize his vision as his tri-pupils in what can only be assumed is his one good eye make his vision tripled. It can be very disorienting if he goes without a stabilizier for extended periods of time.
All in all he is trying to be a good person, but sometimes his sadistic and murderous nature leaks through. He can only share these moments with Blood Mewl as he trusts no one else to understand let alone allow them to happen. He truly considers Blood Mewl his best friend despite how often they scrap, yell, and get on eachother's nerves. If anyone but him ever insults Blood Mewl he will immediately come to his defense, even if they were have a screaming match 13 seconds ago.
He will do anything to keep his medical degree and keep the patients he has lost due to vampirism under wraps. He is prone to money laundering, stealing, malpractice, murder, and over-drinking blood when stressed. He fears the local hunters the most as Blood Mewl tends to get them on his case with his antics; they are the most likely party to kill Freakshake let alone expose him as they pay Blood Mewl no mind.
Though he frequents Neonebula Isle, the local cyberpunk city now overrun with mysterious fog and beasts, he does not interact with Gibraltar or Fogdog often. He is, however, often in Doktor Doomy's viscinity when traveling outside the hospital and appears to terrify the poor smaller chihuahua, though Freakshake is entirely unaware of this fact and barely knows he exists. It is almost comical at this point.
Blood Mewl is Freakshake's best friend. He was born a vampire and because of this has helped Freakshake deal with what comes with the territory. They are always hanging out and are protective of one another. They scrap often but never hold a grudge or any actual hate towards one another. Blood Mewl leans into his vampirism hard and performs all sorts of malpractice in their shared workplace, but Freakshake always covers for him.
They communicate solely through cat and dog meme images and videos, their texts are essentially incomprehensible, but they always seems to fully understand what the other means.
Doktor Doomy is entirely terrified of Freakshake. He will often panic and try to get away from him as soon as he can. Nobody knows why he is so afraif of him. Freakshake, however, doesn't even really know Doomy exists. They just happen to be in the same area very often.
Doomy appears to view Freakshake as if he is the demon under your bed - something you'd think about in the middle of the night that makes you pull your hand to your chest to keep it from dangling off the edge. Because of this they rarely if ever interact directly.
Lewis tags along with Doktor Doomy wherever he goes much like how Blood Mewl tags along with Freakshake. Lewis does not seem to mind Freakshake, maybe even likes him. Doomy is always begging him to go somewhere else with him while Freakshake is around.
Freakshake doesn't bother with Lewis much. He can entertain a hello and small conversation for a short amount of time but will not go out of his way to initiate it.
Gibraltar and Fogdog live within Neonebula Isle, so they run into Freakshake and Blood Mewl every now and then considering there is rarely anyone else in the city besties the pair.
Freakshake chats with Gibraltar when their paths meet and sometimes asks for advice on places to steal from within the city. He respects him to a point and views him as capable. He does not converse as much with Fogdog.
