I can see her in the roles of stage hand and keeper of the massive ladybugs used in some of the non-cruelty based acts within the circus.

I would say she has a sort of kinship with certain insects, and with this kinship/insectoid empathy, she makes sure they get good treatment whilst also assisting the other circus staff in setting up the attractions and stages with the help of her, buggy friends.
