Kuli and Askari were twins born to Nirvana and Mahes a year after Oya received her affirmation of becoming the next Queen. With their birth, the pride was restless again wondering if one of them would be better suited to be King over Oya. Kuli was the more boisterous one of the two twins, often picking on the other pride cubs. However he had a special place in his heart for his sister; he never once argued with her or picked on her, always being by her side. This loyalty went into adulthood where he became the first to start the tradition of having a Royal Guard, for he never wanted the throne for himself. He wanted to ensure his sister would remain Queen for the rest of her life. His duties for the pride were to the Queen, to watch over her and ensure no harm came to her. His brother Askari also joined in on the Royal Guard, and with both of them having their sister's back, no one would argue Oya's claim again.
