Axel Zimmermann is a playable Pyro character in Genshin Impact.

The oldest child of the great adventurer Alice, Axel, is often remarked on how different they are from their mother. Only taking after her alchemy talent and being a notable member of an organization known as the Hexenzirkel.

Ever since joining the knights of Favonius, Axel has been acknowledged as a reliable and genius individual. Being trusted with the title of the right hand of Varka (or simply his secretary) at the young age of 17 years old, Axel has been respected by even the oldest of knights.

Axel is rarely seen out of their office unless they are with his younger sister, Klee. However, when walking by themselves thru the streets of Mondstadt they can always be seen walking at a rushing speed and an intimidating aura to complete a simple task.

Axel turned down the Acting Grandmaster position when Varka offered to him for the simple reason that he knew the great responsibility that would come only with being called “The Acting Grandmaster”. Deciding to focus on his forgotten talent for alchemy, Axel now is devoted to supporting the alchemist branch of the knights of Favonius while occasionally offering help to the other companies out of his old habits as a secretary.

Khaeriah

Many moons back, in the far land of Khaeriah, lived an old man. The mission of this old man was to create life. He had been trying since the death of his daughter to create an artificial human who reassembled his daughter. When he finally was able to do so but the young girl didn't talk, eat, or even cry. These problems were nothing to a god like him, even if he wasn't as powerful, his goal was to have his little girl back. Most of these problems were solved by the old man and he happily lived treating this girl as his daughter.

Over the course of the years, the old man grew older but the girl… didn't age a day. This unsettled the man. The girl didn't feel like his daughter, it felt like the ghost of his daughter hunting his memories. His concern changed tracks, instead of focusing on his well-being. the old man wrote letters day and night, searching for someone who could help his daughter progress in life. The young girl didn't understand why her creator became so obsessed with seeing her grow but while he locked himself in his office, the girl started reading all his books to help him. The girl grew her knowledge about the world while her creator only grew old.

After years of searching, two of his old friends finally returned with his letters in their hands. The first one was Rhinedottir, amazed by the intelligence and human nature of the girl. The other person was Alice, who was more interested in the physical abilities and durability of the girl. After the fall of Khaenri'ah and the death of her creator, the girl was taken under the care of Alice. Since Rhinedottir had her own business to care of. The girl had barely been outside the four walls of her creators' studio, so even though it was the first time she was experiencing grief. Newer emotions also came. Traveling all around Teyvat.

With her learnings the girl would often change her appearance mostly to make herself look more related to Alice, in her brain, it was to avoid questioning. However, the girl didn't feel comfortable in her own skin. The name that was chosen for her, the identity that was chosen for her. Her whole creation was to fulfill the burners of someone who had already passed away. So what would be the goal she lives for now?

Before moving to Mondstand, Alice made it her goal to help the young creation feel comfortable in their own skin. After the change, something unique happened in Alice's life. The first time in Alice's life she felt this type of accomplishment. After the changes and with tears in their new eyes, they called Alice “Mom” for the first time.
