Lino Pontecorvo is currently the youngest in the crew, at the ripe age of 21 years, having joined in his 17's. He born in a family of doctors from a quaint little rural village of cat beatmen, training to take after the clinic himself since he was a child. After he learnt how to read - which was, admitedly, pretty late into his life -, he'd been obsessed with the idea that he could study even further into the medical field if only he could access further information. This was, however, a pretty unobtainable goal, as his parents refused to let him ever go to the big city.

When he was 15, however, he was kidnapped onto a pirate ship for his knowledge. They had come as simple sailors, merely looking to rest their bones on the small village, but quickly their interest with the local clinic had grown strange; and, upon setting foot on their ship as a hostage, Lino saw they had many a wounded members. Pirate life was not a particularly safe one, not in the least, and there hadn't been anyone too skillful in the medical field among them.

Lino was never trested with contempt, but they were never too kind to him, either, and the cat beastman quickly escaped to becomeg a rogue, solo "pirate" himself. For however much he did not enjoy his prior company, and however much he missed his hometown, he had undoubtedly fallen in love with the skyfarer lifestyle.

Lino survived off of looting from mostly marines before he encountered Alaric and other members of the Butterfly Fleet; a lucky coincidence, really, wherein Lino had set his eyes on the same prey that the renowed pirates. He'd started his pillaging in the shadows, however, while the other pirates had made an entrance worthy of their reputation-- which, somehow, ended with Linos sharing a narrow room with Alaric and Obi; who was bleeding profusely all over the floor, and as such, forced Alaric to act quickly. Lino was immediately awestrcuk by the skill the older man demonstrated.

After a small will-they-won't-they where Lino was stressed by his previous -- slightly traumatic -- stay in a pirate crew, the young man joined, and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the crew was.

Alaric

Lino's mentor and, most recently, lover. Lino had probably had a crush on the dragon ever since their first interaction.
