Backstory

As a normal mobian, Chase was a shy, studious, intellectual dog who had a love for super hero comics. He dreamed about wanting to become a popular comic book writer mainly for super heroes, though his flaw of being bashful holds him back from achieving his goal, but it doesn't make him give up and tries to conquer over that. He always talked to his mother and father about super hero comics and how he adores them a lot and his goal of wanting to write comics like that. His parents motivates him to persue that goal, especially his father. Althought his dad isn't all that intelligent when it comes to comic books, but he does understand how much it means to Chase, until one day his whole life changed.

(Sonic Forces) It was when Eggman launched a brutal invasion on Sunset Heights causing devestation on not just their, but on the entire globe. A war broke out between the Resistence and the Eggmans Empire and Chase's dad volunteered to help the Resistence fight against the the mad-scientist. Chase and his mother was heartbroken by his choice and hoped for him to be okay, and his father promised to come back and once peace and go back to the life they had once this was all over. After a long battle against the doctor, the Resistence won. Chase hoping for his dad to come back, they have not heard from for a while.

It wasn't until then that they were informed that he lost his life in a battlefield. Chase was hurt heavily and ever since that day, he always blamed himself for not being able to be useful and wished that he could've been there to keep his father alive. One day when Chase was out trying to grocery shop, a squad of Eggman robots was seen assaulting and Chase was seen as one of their targets to eliminate. It wasn't until then Knuckles the Echdina swooped in and saved the young dog from his demise. Chase shocked in awe by the amount of brute strength Knuckles has displayed (And pretty much a very first time he has seen an action like that in person) he thanked the Echidna for saving his life.

However, before the Echidna took his leave, Chase stopped him and confessed that he wants to be as strong as Knuckles is. It may seem like a very rough journey, but Chase is dedicated into wanting to help those in need and be there whenever there is a disastor. He does not want to feel the feeling of being useless. Knuckles was hesitent at first, but understanding Chase's fustration he decided to accept him to becoming his pupil. Chase responded with joy and promise he will try his very best.

When his mother was informed, she immideatily didn't agree with Chase's choices and forbids him to go with the echidna. It is brave of him, but his mother does not want to lose Chase too since he is all that she has left. Chase continues to trying to convince her until she finally decides to let him go. Before Chase left, he made a promise to her that he will come back and not leave her alone no matter what. After a while, Chase lived on Angel Island with Knuckles where he can be trained by the him.

The training was pretty harsh too, but Chase gave it his all to keep on going. They do also have a chit-chat once and a while and tries to get to know each other a bit more. Knuckles seeing how much good he can see in Chase, he trusted him enough explain about the Master Emerald, how powerful and important it is to this island and that it cannot be fallen into evil hands and about his extincted tribe. Chase understood it all, pledged that he will also defend the Master Emerald along with Knuckles whenever he is needed. Ever since then, their friendship was starting to develop into a tight bond.

One day, a tough event occured when a EggRobo stole the Master Emerald and was roaming around on the island with it. It was a tough journey trying to achieve it back for the two and Chase giving it his all to trying to help. After getting the Master Emerald back from the EggRobo, Chase still felt a little useless by not being able to do much like Knuckles. Knuckles reasurred Chase that he did great out there and that they wouldn't have gotten it back without Chase's help. It made him feel a little better hearing that, but not completely.

Tikal in her spiritual form was spectating the whole event and saw how much Chase was giving everything he got and how fustrated he was. He was beginning to catch her interest. One night, when Knuckles and Chase was asleep guarding the Master Emerald, it was starting to glow brighter making a huming noise. Knuckles was still asleep, but the noise woke up Chase and saw the Master Emerald and it made him curious, he wasn't sure why, but it felt like it was calling out to him. Out of curiousity, he got closer to the Master Emerald and eventually decided to place his hand on it.

Out of nowhere he was feeling himself slowly getting pulled into the Master Emerald and it was freaking Chase out as he screamed Knuckles for help. Knuckles woke up wondering what was happening and see's Chase getting sucked into emerald. He tried to pull Chase out with all the strength he had, but the pull was too strong that Chase slipped out of Knuckles grip and was absoarbed by the Master Emerald. Knuckles seeing Chase completely gone, he has no clue to what just happened and was worrying if he was okay. (To be continued)
