Gagana

Gagana is a gem that came from the North. He is a tall and burly man that can take on the form of a large hawk. His bright pastel colors can blend perfectly into fresh snow. 

In the old days, there was a legend of a Great Hawk of the North who helped settle the first villages in the snowy mountains. His nickname, Gagana, became a household name in the region. He would become the protector of the region and serve its people for many cycles. He was also friendly with Sages, including Sage Citrine, whom he kept in contact with. His hawk form allowed him to fly and deliver messages between Sages. 

However, Gagana was also a gem with goals of his own, including wanting to start a family. He decided to seclude himself and avoid the villages for cycles, not coming to their aid when they needed it. During that time, though, he raised his first and only daughter, which he referred to by their true family name, Opal. Gagana and Opal became outcasts. After many cycles, Opal became tired of living away from the rest of society. She fled her home at the age of 16, leaving Gagana completely alone. Later he would meet a young woman named Calico, who he treated like his own daughter to fill the void. He still wanders the streets of the villages he helped protect using his invisibility, hoping one day that his daughter would safely return to him.
