Chira

Note: This character does not make an appearance until ACT IV

A young elf raised by Halia after her mother passed away at a young age. She showed a gift for Alchemy at a young age, and Halia managed to secure her a scholarship to attend the royal Academy for Alchemists. She worked diligently until she managed to secure her position as The Royal Alchemist. 

She reunited with Halia years later, her in the King's court, and Halia as their ace soldier in the war. Her loyalties were tested when Halia tried to push her away, and it became clear the Crown no longer trusted her to not betray them. She caught wind that they were going to intentionally send her on an unwinnable mission as a win/win, severely damaging their enemy forces and removing the risk of Halia turning against them. Torn, she brought the truth forward to Halia, who was already aware and planned to go ahead with the mission anyways. This led to the two of them fighting, and Chira leaving in tears.

For a long period Chira believed Halia had died on that mission, and seriously considered resigning over it. With nowhere else to go she stayed, though tried to pull away from the war efforts.

When she next learned that Halia was alive, she helped cover her tracks so she wouldn't be tried for desertion or hunted down. She didn't care if it put her job in jeopardy and put her own life on the line to help her escape.
