Evelyn

Evelyn is the creation of a mad scientist with little sense of morality.  "Technically," she would admit, that would make him her father, but she gave up her last name or any willing association with him the day he died. She maybe was involved, directly.  It's not a tragedy.  The man was terrible.  She did learn a thing or two from him, however, such as how to stitch together body parts and just how angry you can make an entire community.

Evelyn came to Venture because her tailor shop wasn't doing well.  She'd managed to quell the villagers anger at her so they weren't coming to literally tear her apart, but she was the creation of a terrible man, and being responsible for his death for some reason didn't endear her to many and generally they just kind of avoided her and her store.  One day she opened the window to find her shop was not in the middle of a village, but the middle of a shopping mall.
Evelyn's store, Stitches, is a tailor that doesn't really have a lot of fancy clothing on display.  There's some very practical clothing on display, and a well upholstered sofa, but Evelyn never had a mind for fashion.  What she does do is absolutely expert stitchwork.  Did you grow a tail last week and now none of your pants fit?  Head to Stitches and you will be guaranteed to get alterations that make you forget those pants ever weren't made for tails in the first place!
Additionally, she didn't completely throw out what she learned of mad science, and on the side can handle some surgeries.  In particular, she excels at skin grafts and limb transplants.  She's got some extra skin in the back to use but like, if you really like the floral pattern you saw she can work with that too.  Feel like you always had a cotton epidermis there.  But she really finds more joy in working purely with fabric generally.

Evelyn has a girlfriend named Wrenfall!  Wren is kind of a handful, and has issues with boundaries and also the law, but xe's a good person underneath that, and really cares for xir friends.  Apparently is new to this whole friends thing, but honestly, so is Evelyn. All Wren needs is somebody to help keep xir out of trouble, and Evelyn is (usually) happy to help. Or provide some patchups when xe gets into more trouble than xe should have.
