HISTORY

Yukino has always been a meek and gentle girl. Kind to a fault and a huge lover of animals. When she discovered what her quirk was she was devastated, she didn't want anyone to suffer and felt completely useless. When she was 7, walking home from school, she came across a few thugs who were beating up a tanuki just for fun. The poor animal was scared and in pain, beat up to a dangerous state. Yukino cried and begged them to stop, that they were going to kill it. They laughed and just tossed a beer can at her head. That was the first time she used her quirk, the first time anger had consumed her to the point where she wanted someone to feel pain, the pain they were causing that poor animal. She ended up turning their pain levels so high they all lost consciousness. Rescuing the tanuki she took it home and ran to her parents for help. They took the next step and took it to the vet, but sadly it passed away from all the damage it had taken. Yukino was distraught, the anger for those thugs only increased and it made her fear herself wishing they would have suffered the same fate.

An investigation was in progress to find out how those men lost consciousness, one had almost died and the police had to look into the "little girl" who caused it. Yukino was tracked down from her school, and told she could never let her quirk out again. Yukino said she didn't regret her choice and if put in the same situation like that she would save that animal again and again. They decided to keep an eye on her, though her quirk did intrigue them.

Yukino's story spread and kids would run away screaming from her, thinking that they would be killed if they talked to her. She started to isolate herself more, and more and more she hated her quirk and herself. Eventually it got so bad she stopped going to school. One of the police officers had talked to the board of Heroes about Yukino and they had taking a liking to her quirk. She could easily take out an opponent without causing any damage to surrounding people or structures. They decided to take Yukino in and train her to be a hero, one who could keep damages to a bare minimum. Also training her to use her quirk to prevent killing anyone.

Yukino decided to go, she didn't know how else she would fit into society, and if she could prevent innocent people from getting hurt, then maybe her quirk wasn't so bad after all. She didn't attend a normal school after that, so she has no idea how to talk to people or make friends.

She ends up being a specialist for the police force, often helping them out with interrogations. The one person she trusts is Tsukauchi, he is also the one who assigns her to protect UA, thinking it would be good for her to meet people she can learn to trust.

PERSONALITY

Yukino is kind, gentle, and loving deep down, but she appears to show no compassion to those she is forced to use her quirk on. People believe her to be a sadist, or unfeeling. She doesn't show much emotion and she isn't close to anyone enough to care for them. She will always protect the weak and innocent and anyone who would harm them in her mind deserves what they get. Animals are still her biggest weakness, if someone hurts one on purpose she will lash out at them. She is very uncomfortable around people, she assumes at this point everyone is scared of her.
