Personality:

Quiet and reserved. As an undercover cop, he tends to keep to himself and focus on his objectives. some guilt plagues him, but he keeps those under lock and key...most of the time.

Origin:

Got involved with the wrong people and at some point turned Eric Matrix into a vampire. Some time after the Great Depression and WW2, he finally got his act together enough to settle down with someone and have a few kids. Those kids grew up to have kids of their own, one even entering the same field as Douglass...only to tragically go missing. The only trace of said grandchild seems to be a lost and lingering ghost...
