- Portal juice in staff is contained within a glass bubble which opens when a portal needs to be created and seals after so as to preserve it (the glass also has an iridescent tint to it) The closeup of the tip of the staff on the ref is it without the glass.
-Wings have an iridescent shimmer
-Gold metal pieces have a scuffed up texture not pictured in the ref
- Hair is in a low ponytail in the back, just very curly so pokes out the sides. Rarely let down.
-Goggles reflect red
-Outfit can be changed, but is never without her staff

The Traveler of Worlds
Cicada used to look over a castle within which there were many giant portals, each leading to a world of her choosing. The staff wasn't a necessary part of her power during this time (it was just the key to unlock them). She was very powerful in every dimension, having most any ability she wanted, but with so much power she made a grave mistake. She got lonely, and summoned a companion. An equal. One who could match her abilities and keep up with her on her adventures. Together, they explored and helped the residents of many different dimensions with their problems, as well as locking dangerous dimensions from access.
Through the ages, the two began to slowly but surely dislike each other's company, culminating in a fight on the castle grounds. Their battle decimated the castle, destroying the portals. Cicada emerged victorious and never heard from her companion again, but the fight left her severely weakened. She couldn't rebuild the castle or portals. All she was able to salvage was the staff and a few power crystals (which she uses to power her pack and open portals with). She now wanders from world to world without a goal. She finds solace in seeing the universes, but knows she can never return to the home she once knew. While she CAN return to her home dimension, all that remains there is ash and wreckage, and she has no ability or will to rebuild it.
Some time along the way, she encountered Quest, who seemed to have a special connection with herself and her staff. Perhaps in another life they were friends, and found each other throughout the cosmos.
