"I-I-I'm warning you... b-bad things happen to those who c-c-come here... you won't make it."

Chatters is a ghostly Beanish who was the guardian of Joke's End before Jojora and her friend took over. He still hangs around the palace, but Jojora insists he ruins the vibe because he is "always complaining about being too cold" and "wailing all creepy and ghost-like".

Chatters created most of Joke's End's palace-- when he died, it was nothing but a huge icy mountain. He is referred to in legends and Beanbean textbooks (he's been dead that long) as the Great Ice Warden of Joke's End, and is part of a small portion of Beanish folklore. Nobody dares travel to Joke's End anymore for fear of never returning or "angering the Ice Warden", but really he's very lonely and sad.

He's perpetually cold/shivering, and even if he's not actually sad or crying, his eyes expel ghostly tears constantly. He stutters a lot due to his shivering.
