From a poor family, Daokyo grew up getting whatever work she could and looking after her siblings. She didn't think she'd end up running an orphanage but found herself there and loving her job. Either taking in abandoned children, rescuing them while working with White Crane or finding kids who have run away, she does her best to care for them like her own. The two children Usagi and Gala, who she adopted and gave birth to respectively, before coming to the orphanage continue to stay with her but she hopes that they do not find her mothering and doting annoying.
