Horizonshadow

Horizonshadow is a pretty mottled brown-and-black spotted tabby molly with a creamy white underbelly, hind paws, and tail tip. She has pinkish-brown eyes and freckle-like markings on her face. She has black head fur, forelegs, and a black tail outside of the tip.

Loyal and social are two good words to describe Horizonshadow upon first impressions, even if the molly is truly more of an ambivert who values her own personal time. She's friendly, fair, and loves a good bit of fun, being quite energetic and even spunky and feisty when it comes to certain things. She always has an eye out for the underdog, and her intelligence, care for others, and thoughtful nature when it comes to making decisions make her a valuable and well loved warrior of her clan, even if she does have a seemingly bad habit of being a bit too gullible for her own good.

After everything with her ex-mate and the murders happen, however, Horizonshadow begins to slow down somewhat, taking a more slightly tired persona rather than the energetic and playful one she'd had before. She's mature, analytical, and despite still pushing to be as kind as she's always been, lingering trust issues and trauma can make the molly seem a bit jaded at times.

Horizonkit was born to two senior warriors in ChasmClan, her parents having been around as kits when the clan itself was formed. She was their sole kit out of a handful of failed litters, so she was doted on somewhat, but also pushed to be as strong as she could, to keep herself alive and to be successful so she could potentially live on to continue her parent's lineage. She loved her parents dearly, though their doting and constant presence tended to stress the molly out somewhat, so she'd begin to linger around her denmates more and more to evade them. Which is likely why she grew to become so close to her fellow apprentices; Pumpkinpaw, Thistlepaw, Mistlepaw, Harvestpaw, and Torridpaw. She also stuck close to her mentor, Furrowthorn, finding the other cat's more laidback worldview a bit of a breath of fresh air.

As the group of six apprentices grew up alongside one another, Horizonpaw found herself growing closest with Mistlepaw and Torridpaw, the latter of whom she'd also found herself growing affections for, the two developing a relationship at some point after they'd become warriors. Things, to Horizonshadow, were perfect at this point. She was a respected young warrior, had a solidly big friend group that felt like family, and she had a mate who she loved dearly. She was on track to live a normal, peaceful life as her parents had also hoped she'd live, and that was perfect for Horizonshadow. That is...until that normalcy got thrown out the window.

Cats started dying in mysterious circumstances, in ways that could be blown off as accidents at first, but quickly began growing more and more suspicious as time went on. And when one warrior's death led to cats noticing that her mate's scent was found near the scene of the crime, Horizonshadow began aptly defending her innocence, because Torridsun wouldn't ever kill one of her clanmates, right? Why would she ever? She wouldn't have a reason for it, she was Horizonshadow's mate, surely she would know if her mate had any intent to hurt anyone, right? She, of all cats, would know her mate as well as she knew the pads of her paws. But it didn't help anything when Mistletoe's sister, Thistlesnow was killed as well. Devastated at the loss of her friend, Horizonshadow joined forced with Mistletoe and Pumpkingaze, Thistlesnow's mate, to try and figure out once and for all who the culprit was, but anytime Torridsun was suspected, Horizonshadow would refuse to believe it, even when Harvestbreeze soon followed amongst the deaths. Why would Torridsun kill Thistlesnow? They'd all been friends since apprentices! That wouldn't make any sense...right?

And Horizonshadow continued refusing to believe this was true...even when the deputy was killed, and when Mistletoe decided to lure Torridsun out of camp to confront her once and for all, Horizonshadow had no idea of what was to come until she was the one to tackle Torridsun upon catching her about to lunge for Mistletoe, horrified. Betrayed by the fact that her mate had been the one to cause every single murder after all, Horizonshadow's heart was shattered, and she took moons to get over everything, spending most of her time with Mistletoe as she worked to heal. She'd never quite noticed her friend's feelings for her either, until moons of healing had led Horizonshadow to realise feelings she returned for the other molly, and the two became mates eventually in the future, giving Horizonshadow the chance to completely move on from Torridsun for good.
