At the end of the day, the goals are simple: Safety and security

Notes
- They are very easy to take apart, but it's hard for them to fall apart on the job.
- Yes, their arms get tangled often.
- There aren't special mechanics to repair these guys if they get busted, they either fix eachother or use eachother for scraps if unrepairable.
- They all share the same name, like a giant family but all clones.
- Actually its more like a hivemind.
- Nobody really named them, someone just called one a name and it just stuck for them all.
- When you pop their hat off they get insecure.
- They speak in technical terms more than phrases, all factual and less on sounding like questions.
If we must die today, then we will die free.
Personality
bland . determined . devoted
Rather stiff, these robots are not the most emotional entities, however they are capable of detecting and understanding them as they should be well equipped with being able to help those who are in distressing situations. In short, they do not exactly feel, emotions or even physical pains, but they are very much able to detect if someone is happy, sad, mad, or stressed. They speak factually and very stale-like, it's capable of asking questions but more often he sounds like a computer with error codes popping up.
Punctual and very devoted to their line of work, in the public eye they are very coordinated as a working team and very efficient at what they do, when it comes to gathering once certain shifts are complete, and there's time for the Normans to wait idly for a bit before the shifts switch again, they are very unified, its rather creepy, but they just feel really comfortable with one another like they're in a big family.
Premise
Serving the region of Calathea, these highly advanced guard bots work similarly to the police force, or an equal to such a thing in this world. The great difference is that these robots are all the same working with the same programming and same model of robot. They arent violent or malicious, really they are as plain and white bread. There isn't anything special about the Normans other than that they are rather peculiar in a few special features that they present, and maybe even going as far as their methods of work in practice.
With their objective being to protect and capture, they do a fairly good job at that in Calathea. It's a wonder that the advances of this product hasn't extending to other regions, however the world really isn't ready for robots. They are in the world, of course, and Calathea is advancing in their betterment to treat androids like people, but the rest of the world might misuse, mistreat, or simply not take care of them like they take care of the community. There may be a few that have accidentally landed themself in a different region entirely, which is a wonder.
On Duty
Making no time for anything else but their job, they don't exactly have any other desires than to serve the general public and to ensure for the safety of others. Unfortunately, when a Norman is damaged enough they are just unrepairable and will be used for scraps. Typically they are not afraid of 'dying' but they aren't reckless. Keeping an eye up for citizens and generally just being helpful, like doing public service work that others probably won't do, the city would be a mess without their supervision.
Working in pairs assists Normans because when one unwinds- [their power source is from being found up like a music box]- the other can wind it up for them. Also, they get lonely. Working best together as a team, Normans are very team work oriented.
Sociability
Not being the most conversationally interesting entity, Norman is very helpful if you are lost and need help with anything and pretty much everything. He isn't equipped with all the needed tools or talents to be a jack-of-all-trades, but he'll do what he can and thats a lot. Speaking stiffly and almost like he's reading off of a handbook, Norman aren't the most emotionally expressive, even in their speech. Not all are like this, but mostly they are just as robotic as they should be since if they feel strong emotions on the job it could really affect the outcome.
Voice being fairly- ehhhh- he isn't scary or unapproachable, Normans are actually very welcoming, just a little funny is all. They're like wandering dogs in the street but they know where they're going. They aren't scary but it is easy to get scolded by one for misconduct or acting out of line with someone such as a retail worker. They're like sticklers.
Lifecycle
Manufacted in as a mass and having their program integrated, they're all set to go. With testing and making sure that the Norman is functional, the producing factory doesn't often do much more than that as the already existing Normans in the warehouse pretty much do the rest of the checks. If there happens to be a deffective Norman, they will have to be dismantled, there isn't enough time or resources to fix it so unfortunately they are just used as scraps, which makes the Normans feel bad. Otherwise they live to serve till they break.
When a Norman breaks in the line of duty, they see it as being decomissioned in an honorable manner. When there is a cleanup scene, usually the Norman who was on duty with their partner- if they survived- will take a moment and assess the scene, in a sense there is a air of grief but Norman doesn't understand that. The parts of the decomissioned Norman would be used for spares if another needs replacements or repairments to certain parts.

Because of their given arms- they are able to extend their limbs to an exceptional length that is absurd as it is affective. Capable to trapping someone in with just a hug, these metal snakes are so useful and so easy to tangle. Because of their non-jointed limbs, they are so free-flowing they move ridiculously but very fast.
Paint The Town BlueAs a last resort, these bots are equipt with a feature that allows them to shock people with an ungloved hand, however they choose not to as that would be inhumane. Instead, Normans' method of tracking down assilants would be pelting them with paint so it would be easier to catch the do-no-good'er. They have some pretty good aim with it too.
Rolling Right AlongWhether it be doing their own repairs for one another, they are fixer-uppers and don't need anyone's help but their own. Generally they try to be out of the way and not cause any inconvenience as that would disrupt their work, but they fix themselves. They even go to wind eachother up to make sure they're all charged. Also since they serve the public they are very big on cleaning up trash and service work.
