Ophelia is a construct, created by Luna. Besides being made of metal, circuitry, and magic, her appearance closely resembles that of her creator. It was Luna's intention, in her ongoing pursuit of immortality, to create a body for herself that would never age or decay. But in granting Ophelia a consciousness of her own, she was able to test the viability of the vessel, and most importantly, observe the effects of a key component - the Far Realm Shard held within her chest cavity.
Ophelia spent about a year with Luna, serving as an assistant and companion. During that time, Ophelia exhibited some odd behavior and malfunctioning, but she also began to develop her own sorcerous powers. Unbeknownst to Luna, she gained the ability to read minds, and through it, caught onto the truth of her creation. Devastated and afraid, Ophelia ran away from her creator.
