When Amami was a child she was known to be a quite calm and stay away from people. She found out about her fathers Job at a very young age. She thought that if she got close to people they would turn on her and leave her like her father did. Since Amami didn't hang around with kids she just studied and made herself become stronger mentally. She uses her smarts to her advantages. When she joined U.A she started to be a bit more sociable but it was just when she needed to be. Since she was never sociable when she was a kid she still has a hard time with expressing her feelings to others she finds it hard to use he words when telling others her feelings so she uses actions to express herself.
When it comes to her quirk Amami prefers not to use it. She got her quirk from her father ,who she despises. She has wrong to hate the heat which doesn't help with using her quirk since it has to do with the heat. She prefers to not use her quirk in public and alone this leads to people assuming that shes quirkless ,she usually just brushes it of and pays no mind to it.

Amami and Yuna met when during lunch when Amami caught Yuna staring at her , Amami got up and asked the girl why she was looking at her ,The girl blankly told her that she found her interesting and asked her to be friends Amami agreed. During the sports festival Amami and Yuna were put to fight against each other. During the Sport Festival Amami and Yuna were made go against each other , Due to Yunas Anxiety Amami was able to over power her and win. After Yunas lost Amami asked people from her class were she was none of them had a clue. She went on looking for her friend when she finally found her they both just stared at each-other for a while and the Amami wrapped her hands around her and hugged her. She was trying to show Yuna that she would always be there for her.

Amami met Chikako one night while she was walking home when she was confronted by a villain. Chikako showed up and and saved Amami. After that Chikako walked Amami to her home and made small talk with each other after that they didn't see each other. During the internship week Amami got a offer from Chikako to be her intern which Amami accepted. Amami and Chikako worked to together on a few villain cases and patrols. Amami became like sidekick to Chikako and they became closer.
