Miles Wright is a Bug-Type enthusiast, passionate in being able to teach young trainers all about them. He is often melancholic in nature despite his nervousness and cautious behaviour -- But, if others manage to coax him out of his shell, he becomes a kind and gentle man. He usually appears as strange or off when doing work or choosing to lurk mysteriously in bushes -- As he is intentive to watch people's movements and find their motives. Due to this, he can be extremely skittish.
Miles Wright, the young boy who was destined to have such a passion for bug-types — It was a beautiful evening after the rain had poured down within Pinwheel Forest… Only at 14 years old during the time, he had been hiking up the hills and through the brushes in search of wild berries, while his mother had followed behind. To his surprise, he never knew he’d come across an injured Durant that strayed far away from its colony. This Durant was soon enough to become his first partner pokémon, as Miles provided it protection from wild Unfezants which had attacked it. Years passed by… As a young adult, every week, he visited the spot where he had met Durant, reminiscing to the point that he had decided to make a new home in the location. It all started out with a trailer… Miles took it upon himself to expand it to the point of turning it into a full on laboratory as he slowly was coming to realize — Bug-types were truly misunderstood. He’d been on strolls with his Durant and witnessed from time-to-time how people stared at him being so close to the bug-type pokémon. At the age of 23, he had met a lady that found his unique interest in bug-types to be quite charming. It wasn’t until soon he ended up in a relationship — However, it was bound to end quickly after dating for 4 years and having a half-a-year marriage. He was slowly coming to realize something about himself… He was suddenly reconsidering his sexuality, as his feelings for his wife had lasted for a short while… It was then he realized he had gained a crush for a man who had been kind to him previously before. Miles and his wife had a daughter shortly before the divorce — It wasn’t planned at all for the couple. They soon decided to end the relationship but stay as mutual friends, for Miles to be in his daughter’s life. Years passed by and Miles continued his profession to become an entomologist in his field of expertise while juggling as a father at his ex’s house. Getting into a relationship with the man he fell in love with; Aspen, an ice-type specialist — Miles was deeply infatuated by him as time went by. Soon enough, he married Aspen in a heartbeat, and the two were constantly with each other. Introducing later down the line Aspen to his daughter… It was a rather funny interaction. Miles' profession was finally getting somewhere… After so many years, he had never expected to become a full-time pokémon professor. He was finally being acknowledged by others with the help of Aspen and every bug-type pokémon he’d study and catch. He was soon to travel to Paldea, in the search for newer bug-types. However… He had to leave his husband and family behind. He set up a trailer nearby Artazon, studying the local wildlife and interesting flora. He was soon to learn more about the region. And with every passing weekend, he called his loved ones…
- Enjoys eating pokéberries and foods considered for Pokémon only(Poffins, treats, etc.) — A weird habit of his while he grew up in Pinwheel Forest.

- Is often found to act strangely at times — Pretends to mimic bug-type Pokémon as a way of expressing himself and can often be seen doing the ‘t-rex’/‘praying mantis’ arms. Sometimes even sways side to side like a praying mantis if something catches his attention!
- Miles admits to being so interested in bug-types that he’d wish to be one — Specifically, a Crustle, due to his laidback but strong-willed nature and being heavily inspired by his own Crustle(Lithos).
Formu -- Name inspired by the scientific-name for ants -- was the first Pokémon for Miles to obtain and without a pokéball at first. They are heavily protective of their trainer and tents to glare at others within distance.
