Omg heyyy mystery girl

Skyler moved to town from elsewhere. Most of her time is spent in the libraries and gardens - she can be quite quiet.

Skyler grew up in a big bustling city. Her parents were artists, who constantly tried to get her interested in the arts. However, Skyler struggled with the lack of logic involved and found herself more drawn towards academic problem-solving work. Though her parents never expressed any disappointment (they wanted to support her no matter who she became), from a certain age, she always felt a sense of disconnect or disappointment from them.

For instance, when hired for her current job - her parents celebrated the fact that she'd gained a high-salary job, but the enthusiasm felt almost fake. Her parents don't value those types of jobs. Though they do their best to support their daughter, they've always felt she should be on another path in life. 

Due to her love of books, her parents were often nudging her to become an author. However, when she sat down to write, she couldn't create a story - at least not one she cared about. It simply wasn't something she enjoyed, despite her parents constantly pressing her to try it. She'd much rather analyse something else, or write an essay.

She does however find some creativity in fashion - her Regina George inspired outfits often garnered her a lot of popularity throughout her school experience (that and her wealthy parents) - suddenly the lack of enthusiasm from her parents was replaced with enthusiasm from her peers. Constant enthusiasm from those around gradually became an expectation, something she "deserved" - if it wasn't there, surely something was wrong.

In college, Skyler and Astrid became closer and closer. Astrid holding the same expectation as Skyler - that enthusiasm and approval from others is a given.

But it doesn't go well.

After .. "everything", Skyler decides to move. She feels the only way to solve her problems is to leave -  her relationships are broken, and no apology can make anything right.
