Fukari | PAIN FIEND

PAIN, THE UNIVERSAL EXPERIENCE!

Originally known as the Pain Devil, Fukari used to be one of the Primal Devils who lived in Hell, until he had a run in with the Chainsaw Devil and got badly wounded. He could only resort to escaping to the mortal realm in order to survive, where he took hold of the first suitable body he could find. He lived as a carefree fiend for some time, killing and eating devils and humans alike. Very much like Denji, one day he met Makima, who offered him a job, or else he'd be executed like any other devil. Surprisingly, he accepted, seemingly having grown bored of his current lifestyle.

And so he became a devil hunter. Due to his unpredictable nature, he was paired with another hunter from Division 4, as a way to keep an eye on him somehow. His partner's name was Sayo, and their first meeting left much to be desired. He begrudgingly accepted to let him move into his apartment, though it took some convincing. Though their companionship didn't start too well, with time they began getting along, and maybe even something else.

PARTNER KASAGI SAYO

Fukari's work partner, who also lives with him. Though their relationship started a little roughly, they're on better terms now.

DENJI FRIEND/COWORKER

Fukari didn't meet Denji until a few weeks after Denji had become an official devil hunter, when they ran into each other during a job. They quickly became good friends, and Fukari often invites him over for lunch, dinner, or anything, really (and does it without asking for Sayo's permission beforehand). Sayo has grown used to it.

FRIEND/COWORKER POWER

Since she's often with Denji, Fukari met both of them at the same time. They get along well. Power often tags along when Denji is invited over for food.

HAYAWAKA AKI COWORKER

Met him at the same time he met Denji and Power. They don't really interact.

BOSS MAKIMA

Fukari had meet many devil hunters before Makima, but she was the only one to still be alive after running into him. She offered him to work as a devil hunter. They interact only on occasion.

KISHIBE ACQUAINTANCE

Sees him from time to time due to Kishibe being Sayo's former teacher. He thinks he's cool.

COWORKER REO

Sayo's former partner, who also trained under Kishibe. Sees him often. They tend to pair up for neighborhood patrols.

CHAINSAW DEVIL ???

Natural enemies in Hell. The Chainsaw devil being the reason the Pain devil resorted to becoming a fiend, Fukari has now an adversion to chainsaws, though since he lost memory of his past life, he doesn't know why. He's still besties with Denji, though the revving of his engine gives Fukari a dèjá vu-kind-of-feeling.
