Linnea, "Lin" to her friends, is a confident and active participant in her own and in others' lives. She started off as a planetarium guide in Praque, flying up among the star and planet displays to showcase them, but the job became repetitive quite fast, so she moved on. So followed several years of her life: she would work one job for awhile and lose interest the moment it became predictable. She knew she needed more adventure in her life, so she dragged her dear friend, Normandy, out into the Wastes to find out what this mysterious "Sanctuary" actually looked like.

The two of them were enchanted by what they found: a world so different from their own, so much more accepting and free. It was just fine with Lin when Normandy decided they would stay out there; Lin decided the same thing. They eventually joined up with Nathaniel's treasure hunting crew, which stays interesting and varied enough to keep Lin interested, despite her wandering mind.
