ABOUT

Slite Li Ill is the second eldest Cometkid, in between Marco and Ally. He loves comics, particularly superhero comics (and movies based on them) but he also enjoys other forms such as webcomics or graphic novels or manga. He also likes drawing his own - and drawing in general, making him the "artist of the family" as some would put it. Sly spends a majority of his time alone in his room drawing, keeping to himself and avoiding others. He doesn't like showing his family his art due to being a "ferrie artist" and he's terrified that the others will make fun of him for it.

A huge notable thing about Sly is how he's extremely devastatingly depressed, having horrible hygiene habits (almost never showers) and struggling to take care of himself 99% of the time and only really doing things like that when someone tells him to. He leaves messes around him and doesn't throw things away and won't make his bed or clean his space. He doesn't like spending time with his family or being out of his room, and doesn't like it when people bother him there. His sadness and depression also leaves him feeling very angry all the time at others, and it can make him snap and lash out and volatile.

Sly has a good relationship with his parents, but the rest of his siblings often make fun of him or think less of him because of things like his hermit-like-mannerisms and poor hygiene. The biggest contributor to this would be his little sister Eve who is always trying to get on his nerves and annoy him. She's actually one of the biggest reasons he doesn't like to leave his room, aside from just not having the emotional energy to socialize. He really looks up to Marco and wants to be like him, but instead he feels like a loser compared to his cool big brother. He also doesn't have any real-life friends and is a loner and mostly talks to people online like his long-distance boyfriend who lives in Palentine.

TRAITS

Loner

Sly hates being out of his room and around other people and has terrible social skills. He's not very good at holding conversations in-person and feels a lot more comfortable talking over text. He hates leaving the house with his family or going anywhere, and especially people coming in his room.

Intrusive thoughts

Sly has OCD and it gives him really bad intrusive thoughts that are exacerbated by already being depressed. Sometimes these intrusive thoughts genuinely get in the way of his life, because he won't do things because of these overwhelming thoughts.

Passionate

Despite being depressed, Sly is really passionate about all the things that make him happy like his interests or his art. Even though it can be really hard to talk to him or get him to open up, talking about his interests makes him light up and smile when most other things don't.

STORY EVENTS

The Eye-opener

When Sly hatched, he couldn't open his eyes. The parents tried to open them themselves, but they just wouldn't open. For three years, he couldn't see anything at all until one day, when Eve was a baby, she used her own hand to open Sly's eyes for him. Because of the three years he spent blind, Sly has heightened sense of sound, taste, smell, and touch, but his vision remains fairly poor, hence needing glasses.

Getting to know Carl

In 6045, when Sly was 16, he became mutuals with Carl on Bwitter. Carl drew fanart of his fersona for him, and they started to talk and became friends. They would ultimately grow closer over time but eventually fell in love. Eve pretends that she doesn't believe he actually has a boyfriend and jokes about Carl being made-up a lot, despite knowing he isn't.

Eve Estranged

Around 12 years old, Sly was growing up, and started to become embarrassed by how clingy Eve was with him - she always wanted to be with him and was a bit possessive about his attention, and it started to really bother him when he just wanted space, so he ended up pushing her away and stopped talking to her altogether, and ever since that incident they have not been close. Sly is vaguely aware of the fact Eve's behavior is because of what he did, but he ignores it, feeling like it's better if they aren't close if this is "the kind of person Eve is now."

Arc 3: Weird Wide Web

In the third arc, it's Sly's 19th hatchday and the family goes to the Weird Wide Web National Museum of Internet Culture. Old internet history is one of Sly's biggest special interests, and going to the museum is something Sly has wanted for a long, long time - but unfortunately, it ends up not going super well.
