Wenbane

Part of a longlasting species made to face the many hardships of the desert, this matriarch was given the royal name of Sol'la Wenbane, Third of the Unbroken. Wenbane is far from scary in personality, just a bit rowdy. She is a matriarch of her kind, a queen that supports, protects and is ambassador to all that are under her watch. As a matriarch, she sports many unique features, such a mineral dense horn, nutrient rich tail, frills and large ears to vent heat, throat pouch, very bright coloration and tough, scaly skin that holds up against the sun. Wenbane is hardy, friendly, and almost unbelievably resilient. Remarkably outgoing, she'll spark up a conversation with just about anyone, and is a proud soul that often boasts of her and her family's adventures.

Standing at an impressive and intimidating eight feet tall, Wenbane is a foreboding alien with wide proportions. As matriarch, she is marked with scales that are much brighter in color than the rest of her kind. The pads of her hands and feet are made of a thick skin that is highly resistent to heat to aid in crossing the sand and climbing rocks. Her tail is heavy and ripe with stored nutrients, much like many desert-faring lizards on Earth. Her large colorful frills and ears vent heat and act as display features to make her face appear larger when threatened, and astriking throat pouch covers her neck, which can be inflated similarly to an Earth frog in a similar display. Overtop tan, sandy scales, is a spiked carapace that acts as a natural armor. It is incredible tough, in contrast to her soft underbelly. Finally, she has heavy jowls and bright teal gums that are flared as an intimidating tactic, as well as a strong and highly prehensile tongue. Her horn and teeth are similarly teal, unique to matriarchs and standing tall like a sword embedded in her skull.

Wenbane wears unrestrictive, and often revealing, clothing. She is used to light, silky, see-through and flowing fabrics that are not burdened by desert heat or sweat, stained with various warm tones from desert fruits or minerals. As a matriarch, her outfits are lovingly decorated with bits of polished turquoise and hammered gold jewelry. Motifs of insect wings, oasises and swirling mirages are common in her outfits. Though her eyeliner is a natural marking that protects her eyes from the bright reflections of the sun, she often paints her face with rich blue colors to give thanks to the life-giving water of her home.

Wenbane is an intimidating sight to behold, but truly does not mean harm unless you mean her harm. She is loud and boisterous, reveling in conversation and meeting new people so that she can talk about her home, the beloved desert and the many things inbetween. She has a great variety of responsibilities and expectations, and holds herself to a very high standard but is anything but uptight.

She is proud and will boast about any and all things in her life. From feasts she has thrown, to her beloved attendants, old festivals she conquered and criminals she has apprehended with her newest crew. Stories can go on for hours and hours once she's started, waving her hands about and using her jingly accessories to emphasize herself. To those closest to her, she is unbelievably passionate and tender.

Born into her role and grew to be one of the most respected queens of her era. Has lead her kingdom to many triumphs and victories, mostly in friendly festival activties and sustainable growth such as making effective water systems that cut through the mesas of the desert. Known to be a vicious fighter during traditional bouts, but also an incredibly gentle mother, and will work herself to exhuastion for her people. It's rumored that she is impossible to exhaust - this is, of course, untrue.

Left her homeworld in order to make positive connections with other planets and build a strong, unbreakable reputation for not only herself and her era, but for all future eras to come. She will uphold her and her kind's honor at all costs - but is trying to have some fun in the process aboard the Phantom Weapon.

• First finger is the longest, then the fingers are shorter in order down the pinkie, very much like a lizard's hand and not a human's.
• Horns, claws and teeth are quite shiny and catch the light similar to heavily tinted glass or gemstones. They are also remarkably hard, and difficult to chip, scratch or break.
• Can (and often does) flash her blueish gums as a warning or show of dominance, achieved by bearing her teeth, pulling back her lips and scrunching her nose.
• Tail is a nutrient reserve and can vary in size depending on her diet and activity level.
• Ears, frills and throat patch help in temperature regulation, and the latter of which can be partially inflated like a frog as a warning or display.
• Outfit and aesthetics highly inspired by the Gerudo of ToTK/BotW.

Achenia - Her most beloved of all, her highest royal assistant. It is her job to cater to Wenbane's needs, whether physical or otherwise, an extremely honorable and coveted job amongst her species. They are sworn to one another both in traditional honor, but also natural affection to one another over many years of service. They are hardly ever apart, always having something new to talk about, often thinking of home. Achenia's dedication is praised, honorable and always rewarded. Wenbane would protect them before any other, as is her duty to do so, profoundly devoted to each other.

Rosenfeld & Ina - Has visited them on many conversations for medical check-ups as well as to tell stories. Enjoys them both greatly and finds their dedication to science admirable, honorable and...alluring.

Bliss, Brass, Eidolon, Hyde & Delta - Coworkers aboard the Phantom Weapon. Loves them, and views them more as family then friends - will fight to protect them as such. Considered honorable members of her kind, and is employed with them as a way to build a positive, if not somewhat fearsome, reputation for herself, her attendant, and for her kingdom back on her homeworld. As such, they are treated with great deals of respect on and off ship.
