Laika

Laika is a mysterious trainer, just recently housed in Paldea. What many don't know is that she's actually an Ultra Beast from the UB world. When Looker returned from the world back to Alola, he didn't realised a creature has hitchiked on him. That creature is Laika.

Codename UB Slime, Laika is a dual typing pokemon with Ghost/Steel as her type. She was caught by a bunch of poke scientist who studied her under a microscope. It was here in this institue that she was given the name Laika. However, she managed to escape when other Ultra Beasts managed to destory the place. She head on to the forests where she finds the body of a young girl. Her soul was taken away by other ghost pokemon, perhaps a litwick or a drifloon, but her body remains. Laika took the body as her host, inheritting bits of the girl's memory just enough to return the girl's body back to her home.

Though initially she was only using the body to hop onto other, much stronger lifeforms, she finds that the host body was suitable and comfortable. What's better, this host body was well taken care of and had pokemons of her own. What is not to love for a small Ultra Beast like herself to be able to command other pokemons to do her bidding. Her sweet life didn't last long when the host body's mother realised that the daughter who came home was not her own. It took Laika many tries to plan hypnosis on the mother to further let her believe that she is indeed the actual child and not a puppet being controlld by the Ultra Beast.

Tension arise more and more and Laika finds that being in Alola is the last place she should be. Hence, they booked a flight together with "mom" to fly over to Paldea, where she joins Naranja Academy.

Then the story follows the same plot as in game but with slight differences.

Trivia

• Laika is technically a pokemon, she can be caught. However, as she has been in the host body for a long time, the only ball to affect her is a Beast Ball.
• Laika actually hates eating (the texture is unfathomable) but she loves sweets and will power through the action of eating to snack on sweet sandwhiches or poke puffs.
• Ghost type pokemon can sense that Laika is also a Ghost pokemon.
• Susceptible to fire.

• Teriyaki - Mabosstiff - Brave Nature, ol' reliable partner
• Madras Curry - Haxorus - Adamant Nature, plates are painted gold, loves to eat
