Destery

CURRENT DAY:
Destery is a Level 2 Policeman for Alpha City police. His level of expertise and skill can sometimes result in him being sent to different parts of the world when needed.
He is corrupt within the system and successfully steals evidence, weapons and information from various police stations around the world and sells them for a hefty profit all while acting as a pure policeman in the day.
He has a large, modern, open plan mansion built into the side of a mountain in Alpha, funded partially by his parents wealth and his own questionable actions/sales. He and his childhood friend/love Mai were lucky enough
to meet one another in their adult life. He likes to believe he owns Mai in a way. He is very protective and defensive when anyone questions their relationship (as Mai is more open to other people than he). He is in denial lol.
Regardless, the two are still inseparable and together as partners in crime they were not prepared for the offer of a lifetime....

BACK STORY:
Destery was lucky enough to grow up in a well off family. Born and raised in Omega, Destery was a bit of a bully in school and only managed to make a friend when he was 10.
Destery met Mai, a girl from a poorer part of town by pure accident when she ran away and got lost near Destery's house. The two became inseparable almost instantly.
Mai often wanted to escape her living conditions so after school Destery would meet her and play in his backyard together while both his parents were working.
It didnt take long for Destery's parents to catch them and notice Mai's dirty old clothes and unwillingness to go home. In a way, his parents became Mai's guardians.
Even though Mai's parents were uncaring and cruel, Destery's would allow Mai to stay over often and look after her anyway possible. Whether it be through new clothes, toys or food.
As they aged and the two went through puberty, a typical teenage romance was beginning to form between the two. Both were very shy and afraid of ruining what they had as friends.
But before the two of them could properly confess and go any further than hugs and hand holding, Destery's mother scored a once in a lifetime client and had to relocate to the city of Alpha for her job.
This left the two heartbroken and in little to no time, Destery was forced to move with his family and say goodbye to both Omega and Mai. But not before sharing their first kiss.

Destery would remain in Alpha while his parents riches helped enroll him into a prestigious police academy. There he trained for many years and was soon trailed and hired by the police force in Alpha.
Destery remains a part of the workforce, but over time he grew bored and lonely. Still lacking in manners and feeling slightly entitled from a life of ease, it did not take long for him to defect and partake in illegal actions.
