Chocolate grew up with an odd life - as her parents were never around, she ended up bonding to her brother Teru, and to wild Pokémon - particularly a school of Wishiwashi living off the coast of Unova.
As she grew older, she started studying Pokémon, her interest having been ignited by Teru; he was the one who taught her, as for some reason she wasn't properly enrolled in a Unovan school. When she was fourteen, Teru enrolled the two of them in the Paldean Academy.
Right now, she travels around Paldea with her Pokémon while attending school when she feels like it.
