Bluespice

Blue'spice is a Mangrove clan warrior. She was originally dubbed Rain'spice, but after a traumatic incident with a storm induced flashflood, she was renamed Blue'spice to soothe the scars of sorrow. Blue'spice had dived into the river when a flood swept two apprentices playing on the beach out towards the sea, one of which being the one she was mentoring - Cardinal'paw. She and another mentor dived into the thrashing currents to save the kits, however she was the only one who survived. Having realized it was far too late for the apprentices, she managed to haul herself to the shore before it was too late.

She often feels guilty for not trying to stay and do more. Maybe if she had she might have saved at least one of them? The thoughts eat away at her with every passing night. 

The leader, Hare'star, often encourages her to spend time in the medicine den to assist Moss'valley and Ghost'light as to giver herself time to heal before returning to the front line and taking on a new apprentice. Blue'spice is adamant, she will never have a new apprentice. Ever again.
