- He can be drawn extra fluffy! While he tries to manage his fur- it grows out really fast
- You can draw him wearing his coat instead of around his waist if you'd like
Miko is a kind and caring medic who genuinely wants nothing more than to help people in need. He's very bright, especially regarding medicine and healing and survival skills for cold environments, but he can come across as a bit airheaded or naiive when it comes to things unrelated to these skills/or he doesn't know well. He trusts others too easily and often is generous at a cost to his own wellbeing because he's a people pleaser who just wants to make other people happy. He's very sweet and finds it easy to talk to others, though if someone isn't in direct need- he's not very social. He can be polite and friendly, but doesn't really like idle chatter as he sees it as a distraction from his work. Growing up in the middle of an icy nowhere and spending a lot of time on the road never really gave him much desire for big crowds. He very highly respects actions more than words, in most cases.
His biggest insecurity is the fact that he was too late to save his mother- who died from illness. Even though he was far too young at the time and couldn't have possibly assisted her. As such he works incredibly hard to save or help others to try and feel like he's made a real difference and in the hope his mother will be proud.
- He's a fantastic runner in general and great at navigating the icy snow. This is thanks to a past in marathon running in cold climates (Mostly as a hobby while working on his medical degree)
- He keeps his fur neatly trimmed- though it is very thick and warm, helping him stay comfy in freezing temperatures despite not wearing heavy coats (Though he does always have a coat unless he does start to feel too chilly!)
- He wears the bells on his person and sleigh intentionally- this alerts people to his presence so that in the event that someone's lost or trapped they can call for help when he's in earshot
- When his sled gets stuck in the snow he yells out "Gee" and "Haw" while throwing his body weight to dislodge it....he doesn't really have to do this, it just makes it more satisfying a task.
- Since his routes get long, and often silent- he can often be found humming or whistling to himself. He does listen to music too- but in heavy snow or if he gets really cold sometimes its hard to maneuver his mp3 player's touch screen (Cell phones don't maintain service well)
- He tends to talk to himself a lot- probably just due to a lot of time spent alone. Mostly "this goes there..." and "This next" and "Wheres this thing??"
- He's a master of herbs on the mountain where he works. Has to be, both to make medicines and react to potentially poisonous plants/allergic reactions. Anything outside his range though- don't count on it
Miko is a doctor who uses a sled to transport his supplies around the icy wilderness; often assisting with search and rescues and taking care of people injured in various accidents out in the wilderness.
He grew up on the side of the mountain where he currently works in a cozy little village, where his mother got sick and there were no doctors close enough to save her from her illness. As such- Miko set out to become a travelling doctor to try and prevent this happening to others. He started a life at a college further down the mountain in the big city, where he excelled academically due to his passion and devotion to helping people. While he didn't really adjust well socially since he was used to very small towns, he quickly earned his degree and set off back up the mountain to traverse between villages with supplies, his expertise, and a will to do good for others.
His sleigh does have medical supplies- but also basic survival supplies and food/water; he hands these out as necessary to travelers in need. He travels fair distances between a few places- though he does detour off the common path -taking longer routes on occasion in case of lost wanderers. Since he grew up in this area, he knows it well- though he also knows not to underestimate the elements. He's quite the survivalist on his own right - even if he'd rather save his supplies for those in greater need than himself
