Teru is certainly the guy of all time. He grew up taking care of his younger sister with only the help of a Porygon (now Porygon2, and on his team), as his parents were never around. Though their family was rich, Teru was the only child of the two who went to school, and thus in charge of teaching his sister about the world.
As he grew older, he developed a love for extraterrestial and extradimensional Pokémon, as well as a love for aquatic Pokémon shared by his sister. He got himself and his sister enrolled in the Paldean Academy, which they both attend.
Right now, he lives in an apartment in Heahea City (within Alola) with his three Pokémon. He attends school online.
