Ashwing is an elder hunter and guard in the mountain tribe. He lost his mate due to the quick spread of Red Fever through the camp. After his mates death he had to raise their only daughter Speckle, who decided to become a healer after her mother's death. He was distraught when he seen that his only daughter being brought into camp, nearly knocking on deaths door after a fire had erupted in the Tribe in the Field. He later dies in the healers cave from the Red Fever that swept through the camp during a harsh winter.
