Powers/Abilities
- Wings are short but powerful; used to attack or to shield her sides/head.
- Incredibly large and strong.
- Scales are impenetrable by any mundane and many magical means; weak points of armpit/groin/inside of mouth must be targeted.
- Can breathe *a lot* of fire
- Strong flier; summons forth wings of flame. Short "true" wings act as hands to hold the magic.
About
Meredith, War-Queen, a beast of wrath and carnage and of battle. An ancient dragoness who claims as her territory as one of the holy draconic sites exempt from the Pact between dragonkind and humans: a much-burned black-ash range of volcanoes, dark forests, and bloodred rivers tainted with iron.
She hoards the war-banners of kingsmen, dragonslayers, and armies she has slain.
Even with peace tenuously holding, there are still men and dragons who scorn the Pact. Meredith is one, and she still finds ample opportunity to grow her collection as despite her legend there are still slayers who throw their lives away attempting to bring her down.
Though, these days, she finds herself keeping to her territory.
In times past she would not consider taking a male unless he had a few war-banners of his own; proof of armies vanquished. With the Pact there's few males willing to upset the balance, so instead they fight each other for her amusement. She simply takes whichever male she wishes, and if they survive then they prove themselves worthy. Males who carry the scars of her attention gain a monumental increase in their standing amongst their peers.
