Syrton looks like your average Nightborne, save for his gaunt, deeply scarred face. The scars continue across his body, though he typically wears robes with long sleeves and gloves to hide this. He is noticeably thin, though not sickly-thin, and is tall to match (often he's described as 'lanky'). His ears and chin are decorated with traditional shal'dorei jewellery.
Syrton usually has a very stoic demeanour, although a glass or two of wine will soften him up and reveal his true light-hearted and outgoing nature. He is incredibly passionate about magic and his studies, having spent nearly all of his life dedicated to improving his skill. His friends know him as a dependable pereson (as long as he isn't TOO drunk - he's very fond of wine).
Raised into a family of 'lowborns', Syrton grew up envious of the nobles of Suramar. As a child, he was entranced by the wonders of magic, determined to become a mage when he was older. His low standing in society almost took his dream from him, but his hard work paid off when he was taking in as an apprentice by an older mage.
He was affected greatly by the tyrannical rule of Elisande and the so-called "shortage" of arcwine she created; he came dangerously close to withering without access to arcwine, and only recovered when he escaped to Shal'Aran as a refugee. The deep lines etched into his skin are, to him, a reminder of what he has endured, and his motivation to succeed.
