Tarik hates injustice and will pretty much always speak out about it, even if he ends up hurt. He places a lot of value in ideals and isn't really willing to compromise with people who are violent for the sake of violence, cruel, or bigoted. Tarik is usually willing to talk, but never gives bastards a platform if he can. 

He's a very kind and generous person, who can seem kind of naive. He's willing to give stuff up for people even if they're lying, but he considers that to be more useful than letting them starve or hurt some other traveller. Language can sometimes trip him up, and he generally avoids metaphor to keep his meaning clear. He's an articulate person and an intense researcher, and hates to leave tasks unfinished. As such, he can get carried away and complete tasks with far too much detail. Because of this, he is fantastic at finding solutions to problems. 

Tarik will occasionally have meltdowns but appears to bounce back well from them. He can be self-sacrificing and will needlessly martyr himself for a cause or for others. It's pretty easy to make him cry, but if you do, I am coming for you. He's humble, not at all selfish, and genuinely worries lots about the welfare of others. He's a good listener and knows when to step back and let others talk, even if he does get overenthusiastic at times. He definitely believes in the inherent goodness of most people, and is eternally optimistic. Even in his most difficult hours he's staunchly believed that everyone deserves a chance. 

He is autistic, has known from a young age, and with the right support he does really well. His naturally sunny and optimistic disposition is helpful.

█ █ █ █ •OTHER: Tall and bony, Tarik is a gangly fellow. He isn't particularly super skinny, he just has a pronounced bone structure that makes him kind of pokey-out. He has thick, curly dark brown/black hair reaching to his nape, and a beard. His eyes are dark brown, and his skin is light brown with olive undertones. He has a small gap between his front two teeth, and smiles a lot. He's pretty handsome, but isn't really aware of that. Wears whatever he can, but always has a red scarf. He uses broad gestures when he speaks and can be a little loud - it's like he's announcing everything. Sometimes talks so quickly he stumbles over his words.

• Although he is loud and often seems very confident, Tarik’s way of speaking is often not very fluid, full of stuttering and ums and ahs.
• He  is pretty easy to panic with certain sounds - for example, high pitched  whistles. He also finds it hard to handle when people are speaking too  quickly, or if more than one person talks at the same time. Supermarkets are hell for him. Overstimulation ahoy.
• Tarik suffers from trauma-related nightmares.
• Tarik isn't a practicing Muslim, but is an ethnic Bosnlian Muslim. He is not religious and doesn't believe in a god, but he still keeps certain things out of habit. He doesn't drink alcohol, and will usually avoid pork or shellfish if he can.
• He has travelled a fair bit within Europe, and to Turkey where some of  his mum's family live, and then to Alaska a couple of times to stay with  Helena and her family for a few weeks.
• He enjoys hugs, but they have to be tight hugs. He's not a fan of light touches, they make his skin crawl.
• Elizaveta taught him to play the guitar a little.
