Riverstar is a well-built, darker gray tom with bold, marbled black stripes ranging from his head to tail and a light blue-silver secondary. He is a silver charcoal bengal (mix), seeing as his mother was from a long line of pure-bred bengal show-cats. He has thinner, slightly downturned burlap eyes and a very thin, sleek pelt thhat highlights his toned physique. He is typically well-groomed, and even if not, his fur is naturally glossy.
As a kit, Riverstar was pretty large. He had big paws, too sizable for his tiny legs, and a stubbier, roughly-tufted tail. As he grew, so did his tail, and not much else changed. As most kits do, he also grew into his paws.He also had noticeably brighter-colored eyes as a kit, more of a dull golden then his current bronze/burlap shade. His eye color darkened as he grew, becoming a more golden-brown shade during apprenticeship and reaching its full bronze hue once he was fully grown.
He was above average height for quite a while as a young warrior and so on, but with age, he noticeably shrunk to the average height of a warrior.
Because of the 9 lives granted to him through Starclan and the power of the Moonstone, he received a bright blue star-shaped marking on his forehead.
He was above average height for quite a while as a young warrior and so on, but with age, he noticeably shrunk to the average height of a warrior.
After his revival, Riverstar constantly has a worn-out look to him. He has bags under his eyes and a droopy, solemn-looking appearance, although still constantly wears a tired smile that overlooks his exhaustion. He also never recovered his former strength, instead taking on a slimmer, narrow frame and frail build, as well as dull eyes that always seem to have a hopeful light in them.

Riverstar takes it upon himself to be there for other cats. He has a strict set of moral values and, while abiding strenuously to the Warrior Code, is willing to bend rules if he believes it is for the greater good. He's big on second chances and believes every cat has the ability to do good. Because he was given a chance when he broke free from the ranks of BloodClan and was accepted into RiverClan, he thinks every cat should have a similar chance at starting over.
Riverstar connects with others easily, and, despite differences, is quick to form bonds. His eagerness to form friendships, however, can make him gullible. He often has trouble seeing the dark side of another cat until it's too late. His openness also draws in cats with darker pasts, since he treats everyone the same, no matter their background.
When faced with conflict, Riverstar can become easily frustrated. His first response to his problems is to ignore them and keep himself busy with other things in order to keep his mind off of his grievances. While this has opened up several oppurtunities for him and allowed him to quickly overcome his grief, simply pretending like his issues never happened won't help him solve them, and will enable him to continue making the same mistakes.

He and Loremaker have their fair share of fights, and being with Loremaker can sometimes endanger Riverstar. However, Riverstar adores Loremaker with all of his heart and is arguably his favorite cat to be around. Loremaker has tendencies to lie or be forceful around Riverstar, even manipulating him, but Riverstar is oblivious to it.
Their relationship has been continually broken and mended, especially because of Larkmaker's affiliation with Thunderstar and Lightmaker. Regardless, Riverstar keeps his familial father-daughter bond with her and values the little time they spend together.
Despite Riverstar's attempts to get close with him, Lightmaker has only harmed Riverstar time and time again. While he will never stop loving his son, he is almost scared of him because of the paina nd trauma he's endured from him.
Riverstar has never thought too highly of Duskglare. While they've always been running a (semi) friendly rivalry, Riverstar could never consider him a friend. However, he did make an effort to make things up to Duskglare when he was reforming himself and never thought much of it- until Duskglare revived him. He's perplexed on why Duskglare- the selfish, cold-blooded and notorious Dark forest tom- would nurse him back to health and put his own life in danger for him.
He's only grown closer with Duskglare since then, but is embarrassed about their close friendship and what he is willing to sacrifice to keep it- but, then again, he does owe him his life.
