Coral Estate

The large estate that is home base for the Coral Family. By estate its really more like a mini town run and populated by a small group of subspecies.

There once was a prestigious Serpentes family known as the Corals. Each member of the family had their own set of talents, and by working together they gained vast amounts of wealth and respect from those around them. They were small, but together they stood strong against all the obstacles that came their way. However, many watched them and the estate they had built from afar, envying the family's wealth.
One day a group of assailants jealous of their wealth broke into the Coral's estate and kidnaped a number of the family members. Each kidnaped Coral was taken to a different location far from their home and hidden.
Distraught that their home had been attacked and their family ripped apart, some of the Corals went out in search of their stolen siblings while others waited for some kind of ransom note from their attackers, but no note ever came.
After some time of fruitlessly searching for their siblings, the assailant's plan finally came to fruition. Suddenly in different places around the globe, Serpentes were coming forward claiming that they were related to the Corals. Some said that they were one of the stolen siblings, but their memory had been whipped, while others claimed they were descendants of the stolen siblings. Each claim made was wilder than the last. Although the colors of these Serpentes were similar to that of the Corals, the words that came out of their mouths were all lies as these Serpentes only wanted to get access to the Coral's wealth.
At first, only a few Serpentes made such bold claims, causing the Coral family members to travel to them in order to find out the truth. The Corals would test each of the Serpentes by asking them questions or having them do tasks only a Coral would be able to do and if the Serpentes failed a harsh punishment would be given for the attempted deceit.
In small numbers, it was fairly simple to filter out the liars from those who spoke the truth, but as more and more Serpentes came forward with their own wild stories about how they were related the Corals became overwhelmed. Unable to travel to each of the claims, they hung their heads and returned to their estate. They gave up on traveling around to find their lost siblings among the massive amount of greedy liars. They still allowed Serpentes who claimed to be related by blood to come to their estate and prove it, but they no longer investigated the claims on their own.
In modern times it is said that if you go through the right channels you can have an audience with the Corals to claim your inheritance. If you do so, beware as many who go into the Coral estate claiming their birthright never come back out as the Corals give out the harshest of punishments to those that lie to them.
