Profile
The Spirit of Summer
Brier is the spirit of spring. Born into a war between her siblings, she was forced to define herself amid violence and aggression. Though the experience shaped her, it has made her resilient. She is optimistic despite all she has seen, and is able to hold her head high. She is one who values respect dearly, and will give anyone the respect she feels they deserve. Brier has a strong sense of right and wrong, and acts on this sense without hesitation. Brier was formally very close to her brother, the spirit of Autumn, however, due the loss of care of the mortals, he has long since been forgotten. She misses him dearly. She celebrates him in the flowers she blesses with the warmth of summer, and in the light of the warm noon sun.

Personality
Brier's personality has been largely shaped by the violence which surrounded most of her days. In many ways, the universe seemed to conspire against her, making sure that she was never someone who could rest in comfort. Fighting was rampant within her family; she was forced to constantly live avoiding their war. Her closest companion, her friend, her brother, was forgotten. She has never had a true rock on which to stand, no true center of stability in her life. She has been forced to always look over her shoulder, always look for whatever tragedy might be coming next.
However, that hardships that she has faced has never broken Brier. She has never been one to give in her emotions or to let sadness or lost rule her. Instead, her tragedy she has faced drove her to resilience. She has become stronger. Never has she been one to give in, to lower her head and let it happen, nor to stop putting her greatest effort. However, there is one thing which Brier has never been able to do: she has never been able to become as warlike as her sister. Her sister, Herta, is a creature of war who has the spirit of the fight in her every step; however, summer is not kind to the spoils of war, and Brier was never one to resort to such violent ways. Instead, Brier has learned to hold her head high in a peaceful and regal manner; protecting herself without need for violence or cruelty. She refuses to fall to this level. She does what she requires in order to take care of herself, and does not take other's problems.
Brier has built up a level of self-protective optimism. She knows that things are harsh; however, she knows just as well that this evil is not the dominating force in the world. While the mortals have forgotten her brother, she has not forgotten the good he did for the world and for her, and has a faith based on the kindness he shared. Her sister, despite the differences between them, is also a friend, and one she trusts dearly. Though she is, to a degree, broken, she is kind, warm, and optimistic. She treats those around her with the respect they deserve; though she does not hesitate to treat them poorly if she knows they do not deserve it. She clings to a strong sense of right and wrong.
At Brier's heart, however, is her love of warmth, growth, and summer. She truly adores her role as the Spirit of Summer. She loves to grace the world with the warmth of her season and to allow for the life of the summer to flourish. She cares very much for the flora and the great outdoors.

Summary
Origins
Brier was born with the birth of the universe itself; manifested of the very fabric of reality to be a part of the spiritual plane. She found herself born into the world of new gods and spirits and, with her fellow deities, was left to learn how to care for this new world. Her blessing, her purpose in this new plane of existence, was simple: she was to ensure that the season of summer was able to follow the warmth of spring. She was born with three siblings. She found herself to be closest to the spirit of autumn, a kindly brother who worked in partnership with her to end the season of summer and transition to fall. Her brother, winter, was determined to bring lifeless cold to the entire globe, and thus was in stark opposition to Brier's warmth and season of growth. However, the greatest tension among the four siblings was the relationship between Herta, the spirit of summer, and the spirit of winter: they could not stand each other. In order for Herta to claim spring from the grips of winter, she was forced to go to war against her brother every single year in order to claim her right to end winter. The war between the two siblings forced Brier and the spirit of autumn to hide and grow distant from their other siblings to avoid being brought into the violence.
The Loss of Autumn
That was how Brier lives for many millennia. She did what she needed to, avoided both Herta and the spirit of winter, and took care of her duty when it was her turn. Her greatest joy was bringing summer into the world; it, and the close relationship she had with her brother, were the only things she had in the world. That would have persisted forever if it weren't for a change in the mortal realm: the mortals began to forget Autumn. Her brother's power and soon his very existence began to fade. Soon, he was gone. Forgotten. His very being gone from the world.
In need of support, Brier clung to Herta, her only sister. Though she could never get involved in the war between Herta and Winter, she worked on becoming closer to Herta, needed someone in this world. The pair did learn to understand each other better and, to some degree, grow closer, though Brier has great distaste for the war and avoids the fight at all cost, hating when she is forced to get involved to any degree. She does what she can to ensure the strength of summer, both to protect herself and for the good of the mortal plane.
Trivia
The flowers which Brier has entwined into a crown are immortal, blessed by the spirit to never fade or die.
Brier thinks often of her brother even if, with his fading, she cannot even recall his name. She searches for him always, hoping he might be restored to his power.
Brier spends time rehearsing speeches to Herta and her brother Winter, trying to come up with a way to stop their fighting, though she has yet to be bold enough to give one.

Vernon
Vernon, the spirit of autumn, has been lost from the memories of mortals and faded. He took the form of a mortal. Though Brier is not aware of this existence of her brother, she misses him dearly, and is always searching for him.
